Save your files as PNG or GIF rather than JPEG.
When you save your work as a JPG, the data in the file is compressed. This degrades the quality and overall appearance of the graphic. If you are carefully referencing an artwork or combining existing artworks, you should not use a JPG. Using a GIF or PNG reference ensures you're using the most visual information possible.
This is dangerous! JPEG is often the default. Therefore, change your computer's default settings to avoid memory disasters.
Start doodling
